St. Charles Parish Railyard Expansion

Barriere managed the $11.6M St. Charles Parish Railyard Expansion Project from a heavy civil construction unit price contract with the Port of South Louisiana to install a six-track railyard on 16 acres of a former crop plane airstrip. The Project involved installation of a 2,000 square yard two-track railcar storage and maintenance pad and related infrastructure, including an access road from the Project’s sole access point on River Road and 27K+ feet of six new tracks that connects the railspur at the DOW’s facility with the new construction.
