Scope

Barriere pursued a new market in Mississippi to land the I-55 McComb Project – a $56M+ public infrastructure upgrade designed to increase traffic capacity while improving traffic flow and overall rider experience on MS 570.

The crew worked 124,131 manhours over many weekends (due to adverse weather conditions) to upgrade 13.1 miles of roadway, including 7.6 miles of concrete rubbilization and asphalt overlay, new cable barrier, and median drainage improvements, 5.5 miles of concrete rehabilitation, and installation of 24 new traffic signals. The project was delivered on budget and exactly on time.
