The $16,190,000 US 90 J-Turns St. Mary Parish Project (the “Project”) called for improvements to an 11-mile high-speed stretch of the US 90 between Morgan City and Calumet with build mandates for sequencing, uninterrupted traffic flow, and access to all businesses. Barriere logged 53,539 work hours with no OSHA recordables or lost time incidents to mill and overlay 11 miles of highway and install 37 J-turns, 4,600 linear feet of storm drainage, 120,000 cubic yards of embankment, 11,000 square yards of concrete paving, 80,000 tons of asphalt, and four signals. The Project was delivered safely, on budget, and in 50% of the contracted time.
