Scope

The Canadian National Railway, one of six Class 1 railroads in the U.S., self-designed and initiated the only siding track between Hammond and Baton Rouge to increase capacity on its East-West line that connects the two Louisiana cities.

The Project was delivered on budget, in a total of 7,931 work hours with no safety incidents, and exactly on schedule thanks to Barriere’s excellence in construction management of a complicated worksite, expert knowledge applied to unanticipated soil conditions, and effective facilitation of partnerships.

The Barriere team did a wonderful job communicating in general on project progress as well as in engaging with residents prior to the project through completion.
