For 2025, all three of Barriere’s asphalt plants have once again been recognized by the National Asphalt Pavement Association (NAPA) for meeting the industry’s highest standards in operations, materials quality and paving performance.

Barriere was awarded the following commendations for each plant:

• The Diamond Achievement Sustainable Commendation recognizes excellence in overall plant/site operations, including safety, environmental stewardship, regulatory compliance, facility appearance and community relations. 

• The Diamond Quality Commendation highlights outstanding materials production and quality management processes such as aggregate handling, RAP management, asphalt storage, drying and mixing, air quality controls and plant control systems.
  
• The Diamond Paving Commendation acknowledges paving crews that meet the highest standards in best practices, compliance, equipment operation and crew training.

NAPA’s distinguished Diamond Commendation Program provides a comprehensive framework that helps producers evaluate their facilities and crews against nationally recognized benchmarks. Participating sites perform an in-depth assessment of their operations, including environmental stewardship, production quality, operational effectiveness, staff training and local community initiatives.

This marks the 11^th year Barriere’s Baton Rouge, South Shore (Boutte) and North Shore (Franklinton) plants have earned Diamond Commendations through NAPA’s national program.
