Barriere was recognized as an Honorable Mention winner of the Construction Users Roundtable (CURT) Safety Award at the CURT Awards of Excellence Gala in Houston, Texas on November 12, 2024.
During its 23rd annual awards ceremony, CURT announced the 2024 Construction Industry Safety Excellence (CISE) Award recipients and called upon the industry to continue its progress in promoting construction site safety. As one of its core initiatives, CURT is committed to improving construction industry safety performance.
Barriere earned a CURT CISE Constructor Safety Award Honorable Mention in the Heavy Construction Contractors with more than 200,000 and less than 500,000 work hours per year category. This award recognizes contractors for outstanding safety performance over the past three years.
The CISE Awards program was established to recognize commendable safety management and safety improvements of owners and constructors. The organization recognizes safety leaders in all construction industry segments that have most effectively implemented the recommendations of the CURT Owners Safety Blueprint (R-807).
Award submissions were open to both CURT members and non-members, owners, contractors, and associations across the world.
“Safety improvement will continue to be a key deliverable and core value for CURT and its member firms. Those who do an outstanding job at reducing construction workers’ injuries are to be commended,” said Greg Sizemore, CURT President. He continues, “Owners, Contractors, and Associations will continue to work towards continuous safety improvement.”
Congratulations to the Barriere team for their commitment to promoting a safe construction industry and for consistently delivering exceptional work while living by the core value of always putting the safety of employees and the public first.
