Barriere Hosts Company-wide 2026 Safety/TPR Day at Florida Parishes Arena

Barriere team members gathered on February 5 at the Florida Parishes Arena in Amite for our annual Safety & Total Process Reliability (TPR) Day, focused on reinforcing a strong safety culture, operational excellence and alignment across our teams.

This year marked a milestone for us. Historically held as a multi-day Safety and TPR Training Week, the 2026 program brought hourly crews and management together in one unified event for the first time. The new format created a shared experience across the company, reinforcing alignment and a collective commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

The day began with an opening assembly for all attendees. From field operations to leadership, the message was clear: safety and reliability are shared responsibilities across every role and every jobsite.

Following the opening assembly, hourly crews and plant personnel rotated through six hands-on training stations throughout the day. Topics included 401(k), EAP and stress management resources; confined space and hole watch procedures; AC tanker unloading; troubleshooting and connectivity issues for GPS and 3D equipment; equipment maintenance; and the dangers of pathogens and proper incident reporting. The rotating format allowed crews to engage directly with subject matter experts while reinforcing field-level safety practices and equipment reliability standards tied to Barriere’s TPR program.

At the same time, management participated in a dedicated leadership track featuring focused sessions on traffic control, the Louisiana One Call Dig Law, claims management and sustainability, along with corporate updates and strategic vision discussions led by Justin White and Joseph Kennedy. Both groups reconvened for lunch with keynote speaker Damon West, who holds a master’s degree in criminal justice and is a college professor, internationally known keynote speaker and author.

The day concluded with the Equipment Rodeo Finals and closing awards assembly recognizing employees who demonstrate outstanding commitment to safety, mentorship and operational excellence.

By bringing everyone together under one roof, Barriere strengthened alignment between our crews and leadership while reaffirming that safety and reliability remain foundational to our success. The 2026 Safety & TPR Day built on the legacy of past training weeks while setting the tone for the year ahead.
