All Barriere employees are encouraged to actively engage in our Culture of Care programs that promote our collective wellbeing and support our commitment to continuous improvement.

The wellbeing of our employees is our top priority.

At the close of Barriere’s company-wide annual Safety Training Week last month, we announced our 2021 Top Mentors and Top Hazard Recognition Program Participants. The people named above and below are leaders on our mutual Journey to Zero recordable incidents.

TOP MENTORS

Top Mentors apply their expertise and experience to help develop New Hires and integrate them into the Barriere culture by supporting proper work techniques in Safety, Quality, and Production. This creates a safer environment that helps us all thrive.

Specifically, Top Mentors are selected based on their own job performance and their mentee’s successful completion of Barriere’s Mentorship Program. The Program affords all Mentors the opportunity to pass along wisdom while earning extra cash dependent upon mentee engagement level and retention.

TOP HAZARD RECOGNITION PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS

Barriere’s recognition of Top Hazard Recognition Program Participants is a new endeavor that coincides with the long-established Program’s inclusion as a Safety Key Performance Indicator in our recently updated bonus system for hourly employees. Active engagement with both programs contributed to Barriere achieving its best safety performance in company history, and our Top Hazard Recognition Program Participants were at the forefront of these efforts.

Barriere is the Louisiana Contractor of Choice thanks to our Top Talent. Congratulations to ALL!
