On Wednesday, May 19, Barriere welcomed its 2021 Summer Interns into the fold during an orientation held at the company’s Boutte Training Center. This year’s class is a diverse group of 17 people from nine different universities, including three graduates of the 2020 class who also received the NAPA Acott/Wilson Scholarship in its first year.
Barriere President and CEO Peter Wilson was on hand to facilitate introductions, and safety training was led by two former interns who are now Barriere employees. The rest of the day was spent going over expectations, requirements, and the tools and resources the interns will need to make their time with Barriere a success.
Each Barriere intern is assigned a manager and a project that will make real improvements to Barriere work processes, and the crew is already hard at work. We are pleased to add the following talent to our team, and are looking forward to a fun, productive summer together!
