What is the Barriere Way?
The Barriere Way is more than just a slogan, it’s an operational philosophy that speaks to our core values and the fundamentals that have made us successful– safety, quality, trust, mutual respect, and continuous innovation. And it’s the value proposition that differentiates us as a contractor, employer and corporate citizen.
Operating as one cooperative team, we leverage our strengths of combined knowledge and experience with safe project execution and a company-wide emphasis on customer advocacy. This approach, and our commitment to Safety and Quality, has sustained Barriere for nearly 70 years in southeast Louisiana and the Gulf South region.
Barriere Construction is a family company, committed to our employees and the communities where they live and work, which means that multiple generations of employees are commonplace on the Barriere team. We are proud to say that over ten employees have more than one generation of their family working for Barriere today.
Barriere employees take great pride in how we conduct ourselves in the office and on the job site. While each year brings new changes and challenges in our marketplace, one thing always remains certain: Our unwavering commitment to uphold the culture of excellence required to deliver the highest quality of safety and craftsmanship. Barriere’s reputation for excellence is no accident. We are constantly raising the bar to deliver projects on time and under budget. The Barriere Way means we are stronger together, and singularly focused on our goal of being the best contractors for our customers.
