Our culture of unwavering attention to detail and lasting commitment to safety and quality, along with our use of leading-edge technology and sophisticated machinery give us a unique ability to provide our customers with superior materials, equipment, and end results.
For nearly 70 years and counting, providing safe, high efficiency, high production premium asphalt services in both public and private works of all sizes, has been the Barriere signature. Whether it’s a government agency, a business, school, retail facility, or an industrial facility, an investment in high-quality pavement adds safety and value. Hot-mix and warm-mix asphalt developments in recent years have led to significant improvements in roadway construction and rehabilitation and lifecycle costs. Asphalt has become an ideal selection for busy highways, heavy traffic, and reduced maintenance costs, providing the most efficient way to extend the useful life of public and private roadways and parking facilities.
Barriere operates state-of-the-art asphalt production facilities on both the North and South Shores of Lake Pontchartrain, and Baton Rouge. Our brand new Baton Rouge asphalt facility came on line in March 2016, significantly expanding our reach and ability to serve and satisfy customers in the greater Baton Rouge market. Our asphalt plants have been repeatedly recognized with the National Asphalt Pavement Association’s (NAPA) Diamond Achievement Award for environmental excellence. Our plants are also certified by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO). Our asphalt products meet or exceed Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LDOTD) and parish requirements.
