Earthwork + Base Installations

Safe, quality dirt work begins with experienced people, sophisticated equipment, and precise planning.

The geophysics of each property determine the base structure needed to construct a project, which is why our bulldozers and motorgrades are equipped with advanced Trimble Global Positioning Systems (GPS) to help plan and install according to exact specifications. In fact, our use of GPS in surveying, tracking, and machine controls, along with our Robotic Total Station, brings our accuracy to within a hundredth tolerance of the mark.

Barriere specializes in aggregate base installations in Louisiana soil, using recycled Portland Cement Concrete (RPCC) or limestone aggregate, as well as sand for sub-base installations.

Ever-focused on safety and excellence, our experienced crews install thousands of yards of material, aggregate, and recycled base as preparation for concrete or asphalt  paving projects, including:

  • Roadway base and sub-base
  • Laydown yards
  • Port and marshalling yards
  • Private retail developments
  • Subdivisions
  • Other large aggregate installations
