Program Objectives:

We are committed to a strong and independent construction industry, and have put in place innovative programs to assist individuals with becoming more knowledgeable about the opportunities for success in the Heavy Civil Construction business. Our Internship Program has five primary objectives:

• To create a remarkable learning and professional experience for students while promoting enthusiasm for the highway/heavy construction industry.
• To ensure that students experience the benefits of working for a 21st century construction company.
• To provide students with practical, hands-on experience where they will be directly involved in the work.
• To create a pipeline for the best of the best students to join Barriere upon graduation from college.
• To keep Barriere supervisors in touch with the new generation of workers and provide a superior group of candidates to preview.

2008 Interns

Résumés and letters of application are accepted year round. The program is open to all sophomores, juniors, and seniors enrolled in Civil Engineering and/or Construction Management degree programs.
