Employment Process
·          Position becomes available
·          Position Opening is placed on Job Hotline, Website, at www.la-works.net
·          Applicant fills out an application at one of our locations
·          Complete Applications are sent to Hiring Manager/Foreman
·          Interviews are scheduled
·          Candidate is selected
 
INSTRUCTIONS FOR COMPLETING APPLICATION
We accept job applications only when we know there are jobs available and when we intend to fill the position(s).  When openings become available, we reserve the right to review applications already on file, prior to hiring.  Applicants remain in an active file for 60 days.
 
1.          Fill out the entire application.
 
2.         Make sure that you list all of the information that is asked for on this application.  Applicants who submit incomplete application will not be considered for employment.
 
3.          Your employment history is very important to us.  You must give detailed explanations to all questions in particular “Duties” and “Reason of Leaving”.
 
4.          Applicant must list position applying for and not just indicate any available.  If you are applying for more than one position you must complete an application form for each position.
 

HIRING POLICIES

 
1.        We hire applicants solely based upon merit.  We do not discriminate on the basis of union a ffiliation, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, marital or veteran’s status, disability or any other protected status.
 
       2.     No employee is required to pay dues to any labor organization to join our company.

4.     We do not accept group applications or photocopied forms.  We hire based on personal contact with individuals so that we can make sound business judgments as to the most qualified applicants.
 
5.      Applicants offered a position must submit to a drug screen and physicals.  If unable to pass the post offer/ pre-employment examination or drug screen, your conditional job offer may be revoked.
 
6.     Any applicant who falsifies or omits information on the application is disqualified from being hired.  If the employee has been hired before the falsification or omission is discovered, he or she may be subject to termination.
 
7.     We base our hiring decision s on a verity of factors, including skills and ability to perform the job, prior employment with us, employment references as to character and willingness to work, willingness to accept the offered salary and personal interviews.
